Without was a Hamilton, Ohio band active from around 2003 to 2018, playing a mix of punk, ska, and metalcore. After leaving Falling Like Dead Birds in the Dark, Eddie Michaels contacted David Frazee, and the two began writing “Low Life.” David then reached out to Britton Bowers. That was how Without began. The original lineup was Eddie on guitar and vocals, David on bass and vocals, and Britton on drums and vocals. The lineup changed over the years, and other past members included Raymond Pable, Kyle Fowee, David Burton, Cory Underwood, and Seth Dehart. By the time they recorded their self-titled album, Without, the four-piece lineup was Eddie on guitar and vocals, David on bass and vocals, Britton on drums and vocals, and Kyle on guitar and vocals. The album was recorded roughly between 2015 and 2018 at 3rd Street Music in Hamilton, Ohio, and engineered and produced by Pete Davidson. During that period, the band went to see the Power Rangers movie together in theaters. The nine recordings featured here are nine of the album’s ten songs. They include “Borderline,” “Long Sadness,” and “Economic Liquidation,” along with David and Eddie versions of “Bitch Fuck.” The tenth song is “Grab Your Beer.” Listen to a 45-second preview of each available track below.
